Equipping children and those who minister to them
to be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord.
“You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord,
and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.” ~ Isaiah 62:3
Crown of Glory is the 501c3 organization for Pastor Laura Diehl’s ministry. She has been ministering to children for over 25 years. For several years she traveled with and mentored under Becky Fischer (featured in the academy-award nominated documentary Jesus Camp) of Kids in Ministry International (KIMI) both in the states and internationally. She is the KIMI Wisconsin Director, a trainer for PowerClubs International, and is the administrator for KIMI’s School of Supernatural Children’s Ministry. Laura’s international travels have taken her to Australia, Canada, Colombia, England, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda. She has also ministered in Austria, Israel, Poland and the Navajo nation in the U.S. Her heart and calling for children in the nations is a passion deep within her.
What’s in a Name? By Dave Diehl
Shortly after we were married, the Lord gave me a song for my new wife, titled “Crown of Glory”. It was based on Prov. 12:4 that says a man’s wife is his crown, and the glory of a man is his wife (1 Cor. 11:7). This was particularly significant in Laura’s case, as her name literally means, “Crowned with laurel” referring to the use of laurel leaves to crown victors in the Olympic Games in ancient Greece. Laura has always been and will always be my Crown of Glory.
Of course, at the time I didn’t realize how prophetic my nickname for her was; but as God continues to move her forward in her calling, it was obvious to me what the name of her ministry should be. Not only because of our little love story, but, more importantly, because of her heart – for children to know God intimately and to move in His call for their lives now! Our prayer is that the children touched by this ministry; either directly, or by the adults trained through it would truly “be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord” (Is. 62:3).
